60sec_promo_header.jpgIf you are just dying to go to NAB 2006 in Las Vegas, but can’t muster up the cash to get yourself there, this may be just what you’re looking for. Avid, creator of some of the finest editing tools, is hosting a 60-second video contest on their website. Basically, the idea is to make a 60-second or less video about something you are “Avid” about.

You can submit via their contest page, or you can send it in on DVD, CD, or VHS. The deadline is March 15, so get cracking at creating your video if you are interested in participating. Here is what the grand prize entails:

  • Round-trip airfare to Las Vegas, NV, departing April 21 and returning April 24, 2006
  • Three nights hotel
  • A food/beverage per diem allowance
  • Complementary passes to the NAB convention, the Postproduction World Conference, and the Avid customer event
  • A free copy of Avid Xpress Pro software
