Gabriel Torres over at Hardware Secrets has posted a very in-depth description of HDMI right down to its individual pin specifications. HDMI is the newest digital video connector on the market and will probably replace DVI one day. It includes support for resolutions up to double the industry standards we have today and also supports audio signals, neither of which the DVI standard can boast of. Even if you don’t care about all the techie stuff, at least read the introduction if you need to get yourself up to speed on HDMI.
