There are those who are still stuck with that 40GB 4,200rpm notebook hard drive that came installed in their laptops. Samsung has come to the rescue with new additions to its SpinPoint line of notebook hard drives. Two new capacities, 100GB and 120GB, have been introduced. Although 7,200rpm is highly recommended for editing, Samsung’s hard drives operate at 5,400rpm, which is sufficient for basic DV editing. These will run you between $150-200.
