Siemens is going to be introducing a new system that will allow interactive functions to be built into set-top boxes. Instant messaging, chat rooms, and live game show interaction are some of the functions that will be allowed by this new system.

Do they never learn? After all the debaucles interactive TV has faced over the years, do media corporations not realize that only old people are going to find any use in it? Not to be stereotypical, but seniors are much more comfortable with technology they already know, whereas the younger generation is much more comfortable in front of a computer. Maybe Siemens will surprise everyone, but probably not.
