Chris at The Long Tail has posted a very interesting article regarding what he calls the Death of The Blockbuster. In his post he focuses on why blockbuster movies are going to decline in the coming years. Basically, revenue is going down while the cost to make the movies is going up. This will probably bode well for the independant filmmaker, and may also force studios to focus their efforts on making a few good blockbusters rather than a lot of bad ones.
