Looks like Toshiba is getting set to release two new HDD digital camcorders in Japan, the Gigashot R30 and R60. You guessed it, they will feature 30 and 60GB hard drives respectively. Other features also include a 2.5″ LCD screen, expandable SD card slot, and 1.25MP stills. The CCD is said to be 1/36″, which seems pretty darn tiny to me, and unfortunately, they decided to stick with SD resolution video. The price tags will be a bit steep: $799 for the 30GB and $999 for the 60GB.
