Some creative geniuses at the MIT Media Lab have invented a paintbrush that can pick up any real-world texture to use as its “paint”. It accomplishes this through a small CCD video camera embedded in the brush itself. Users can then paint that texture and even paint video textures onto a display that acts as the canvas. This is definitely one of the coolest devices I’ve ever seen. Check out the video samples at the bottom of the page.
