Panasonic is all set to introduce a new digital camcorder at NAB 2006. The AG-DVC20 is a 3 CCD, shoulder-mounted digital camcorder designed for “educators and entry-level shooters.” At a suggested list price of $1,850, I would say the AG-DVC20 is a little much for an entry-level shooter, unless we’re talking about prosumer-end users (which I’m sure they were).

The AG-DVC20 has all the usual stuff like 10x optical zoom, EIS, and 2.5-inch LCD screen. An interesting thing to note is that the camcorder weighs only 4.4 pounds, but is shoulder-mounted. Panasonic’s reasoning is that this affords the “‘on the job’ respect of shoulder-style shooting,” plus makes it harder to steal, pointing the fact that educators with tough students will probably benefit most from this. Look for the AG-DVC20 to be available in June. No pictures are available yet, but it could look something like the AG-DVC60:

Yes, AG DVC20 is NTSC and NV MD10000 is PAL with same class version. Both are v good camcorder for event, company meeting & wedding shooting. Great for value of money compare others.
