Don’t worry, you won’t have to do any math to read this post. The equation shown is actually the way that researchers at Binghamton University have found to link digital pictures to the camera on which they were taken. Basically, every digital camera creates a unique “noiseprint” - analogous to fingerprints - that can be used to then identify pictures that were taken with that camera.
