applebootcamp.jpgApple has released a package called Boot Camp that allows Windows XP to be installed on Intel-based Macs. This is all over the internet, but important enough to give even more attention here. Apple is going to include Boot Camp natively in their upcoming Mac OS X release, Leopard, but for now they are offering it as a public beta.

Why is this important? Imagine one computer that can run all of your production programs such as the latest versions of After Effects AND Final Cut Pro. Yes, you have to reboot instead of instantly switching, but what more can one ask for at the moment? I’m anxious to see how Apple’s sales of PowerBooks do once word of this really gets out to the masses.
