If you are wondering what’s going on with the Colorspace camcorders that were announced at NAB, you’ll want to check out their updated website. It’s really kind of reminiscent of RED’s website pre-NAB 2006. The specifics on the site are slim pickings, and they haven’t added much to what we already know, which is that they are engineering two new camcorders. One will be a 35mm digital camcorder outputting 2K and will feature a 24mm x 18mm sensor. The other will be a 16mm camcorder and will output 1K.
The only new information we now know are that these camcorders will output RAW, and that Colorspace will also be offering “TRUERECORDERs.” These will be available as both solid-state and hard disk based devices.
Keep an eye on their press page if you want updates. Me? I’ll be moving on with my life until they deem to tell us more.
