In any production sound effects can play a key role, but if you’re like most people, you don’t have access to your own Foley artist or the means with which to create or buy your own sound effects. Worry no more! I’ve gone and compiled a list of some of my favorite free sound effects websites so that you don’t have to spend hours searching for that perfect dog bark or that creepy footstep sound effect.
All of these sites have been selected for their quality, quantity, and/or their unique free sound effects. You will also notice the “resources” section on the sidebar.
