Kenko has unveiled the DVC-306 digital camcorder, a tapeless camcorder that records MPEG4 video to an SD card. Video footage is recorded at 640×480 resolution but only 20fps. 720 minutes can be recorded to a 2GB SD card, and 32MB built-in memory is included.
The Kenko DVC-306 also features a 1.5″ screen and MP3 playback. Also, 3 megapixel still images can be taken as well. However, there is no optical zoom on this thing, only 4x digital zoom. This will probably only be available in Japan (at least for now) and is priced at around $170.
