key.jpgImagica has announced a new version of their popular chromakeying software Primatte. Here’s what project manager Scott Gross had to say:

The Primatte technology returned to IMAGICA (where it was originally developed) last October and this new version makes Primatte even better, faster and more user friendly. The new core library has been fine-tuned and features floating point precision, SSE2 and NVIDIA GPU acceleration, film grain removal and a new Auto-Compute feature that should make the easiest-to-use chromakeyer ever easier.

Primatte works as a standalone or as a plugin with a ton of popular programs like Adobe After Effects and Apple Motion. Recently they have ventured into the photography world with a plugin for Adobe Photoshop.
