Besides when I’m editing, I don’t use Macs very often for video playback, so the fact that they are just now releasing the first official DivX for Mac player came as a surprise. Apparently the new DivX 6.5 for Mac is the first official version for the Mac. All you Mac junkies rejoice. Here’s what Darrius Thompson, co-founder of DivX Inc. had to say:
