For the list price of $5,995, the Panasonic AG-HVX200 is one among a few HD camcorders of the same caliber. Videography takes a look at the HVX200 with an in-depth review that could really use some pictures, in my humble opinion. That being said, if you’re in the market definitely take a look at the review.
One thing that stood out to me was that the reviewer ended up always setting the iris one-half to one stop lower than the autoexposure suggested. Apparently this alleviated lost details in highlights and produced rich, saturated colors. There is a whole lot more to the review, but that was the main thing I noted.
As a hint scroll down about halfway down the page to get to where the review really starts. The first part is mostly explaining recording modes, frame rates, etc. that the HVX200 offers.
