If you were wondering what the Sony HDR-HC3’s slow motion capture looks like, head on over to CamcorderInfo and check out their HC3 slow motion sample video.
For those who are unfamiliar, the Sony HDR-HC3 has a slow motion feature that records 3 seconds of video at 240 frames per second. It records this onto the tape at the usual 30 frames per second, which gives you 12 seconds of slow motion video. This could be very useful for sports and things of that nature. Beware, the quality isn’t HD. If you have a Sony digital still camera, it’s analogous to their multi-burst feature, which records multiple thumbnails very quickly onto a single full-size image.
