16×9 Inc. has just announced an addition to their Easyrig line of camcorder supports called the TurtleX. The TurtleX is a lightweight support system that transfers the camcorder load from your arms and shoulders to your hips. The camcorder is attached to the overhead support arm, allowing for more stability when shooting.

The TurtleX is designed especially for lightweight DV and HDV camcorders weighing up to 10 lbs. The included backpack is used for mounting the support arms and also includes enough room for the camcorder and accessories.

16×9 Inc. is offering the TurtleX for an introductory price of $1175. The MSRP is will be $1385.
