The Canon Elura 100 seems like one of the better buys this year and CNET’s review backs that up, as well. They liked the much simpler button placement, as well as the tiny size. Of course, this is balanced out by the fact that you cannot use an extended life battery, as the battery fits inside the camcorder.
Video quality is good, and is better in low light situations than the comparably priced Canon ZR700. Features such as the analog to digital pass through and true 16:9 CCD sensor make it a good camcorder for the buy.
… given its attractive price, the Elura 100 packs all the allure of its predecessors and is one of the better deals as low-cost camcorders go.
