MacroSystem, maker of the beloved Casablanca editing systems (do people use those anymore?), has released the HDV RT/HD, an HDV recorder designed for the videographer’s editing studio. The MacroSystem HDV RT/HD allows videographers to efficiently back up their footage for purposes of archiving, viewing, duplication, or editing.
The HDV RT/HD can output HDV footage at full resolution (up to 1920 x 1200) via DVI or VGA outputs. It can connect to your PC via Firewire, and is compatible with all HDV camcorders, recorders, and editors. Video footage is stored on a removable 250GB hard drive, which can store up to 23 hours of HDV footage.
