Mustek has just announced the new DV536 digital camcorder. Another example of digital convergence for the cheap, the DV536 combines almost every digital recorder technology you can think of (OK, so not EVERY one, but they certainly tried). With this slew of features you would think you’d be paying a high price, right?

The Mustek DV536 will be shipping in July for only $199.99. This price will also probably reflect the quality you are going to get out of it. However, the huge feature-set might make this a worthwhile investment for many.

The DV536 captures MPEG4 video to an SD card. The included 32MB SD card can record 18 minutes of video, and a 512MB card can hold 140 minutes of Fine mode. This is at 640×480 resolution. For still shots, Mustek used a 5-megapixel CMOS sensor, and will also interpolate your still shots up to 10 megapixels if you should choose to do so.

Along with all this, the DV536 also plays MP3s, can act as a voice recorder, and allows you to record analog input. For example, you can use the DV536 to record TV shows or DVDs onto an SD card. Be on the lookout in July for this amazing piece of machinery.
