Two excellent digital camcorders, the Sony HC1 and the Panasonic AG-HVX200, were recognized by the 2006 Industrial Design Excellence Awards. The Panasonic AG-HVX200 was awarded with the bronze in the Business and Industrial Products category for its portability and tapeless workflow. Sony’s HDR-HC1 was awarded the silver in the Consumer Products category its innovation in bringing hi-def video to the masses.
