The Holide HX-2142 is being billed as the smallest digital video recorder in the world, and it’s not that hard to believe. This thing is small. The HX-2142 is perfect for … well, I’m not sure. If the quality wasn’t guaranteed to be horrible there might be some uses. However, in and of itself the concept is a good one.

Video footage from the Holide HX-2142 is recorded onto standard SD memory cards. A 300k CMOS sensor is used. Footage can be captured at 640×480 or 320×240 at 12fps or 20fps, respectively. The product page says that 20 minutes of video can be recorded onto a 64MB SD card.

The Holide HX-2142 can also be used as a digital camera and a mass storage device.
