Just saw this press release over at EventDV. It looks like the Panasonic AG-DVC20, which was hinted about some time ago, has finally been released. I’m not sure how old this news is because I can’t say I’ve been following it that closely, so this could be old news. In their own words, the Panasonic AG-DVC20 is designed for “educators and entry-level shooters, ranging from event and wedding videographers to student and sports videographers.”

The AG-DVC20 is shoulder-mounted (making it harder to steal) and features three 460K CCDs, 2.5 inch LCD, and 10x optical zoom. One funky feature is what they call the “Zero Lux Night View” mode, which brightens the LCD (see picture) for use as a light source when you turn it toward a subject (who has to be within three feet).
