Sony continues to be the popular choice with consumers, although reviews of their lower-end digital camcorders have not been that great recently. CNET’s Sony Handycam DCR-HC46 review is no different. The HC46 scored a 6.4 out of 10 on their scale. Again they did not enjoy the touch-screen menu system, and the hour-ish long battery life with the supplied battery was not especially liked. However, video was markedly better than the HC26 and HC36.
