Videoguys caught a glitch in the PR framework when Sony inadvertently (or perhaps not?) posted the specs for the new Sony Vegas 7. Originally the announcement and full specifications were supposed to be at IBC, but apparently Sony posted the info on their site for a day and then promptly pulled it down. Here are the new features:

Vegas 7
Comprehensive XDCAM SD/HD support
Improved HDV playback performance
Enhanced hardware support for Blackmagic Design DeckLink™ and AJA
Improved workflow tools
Sony DVD 5.1 camera support
Cinescore software plug-in support
Enhanced HDV, SD/HD-SDI support
Enhanced video monitoring
Direct export to Sony® PSP® (PlayStation®Portable)
Render to iPod®-compatible formats

DVD Architect 4
Scripting support
Random playlist playback
Parental control
Keyframeable transformations, crop, and effects
Graphical subtitles
Buttons on video
4:3 and 16:9 preview settings

Anyone who has bought Vegas6+DVD on or after August 10th will be able to upgrade to version 7 for free.
