A company called Pretec has announced an 8GB SDHC card, the highest-capacity to date. It is available now to “key customers” for sampling, but you can expect mass-production later this year. You will be looking at shelling out around $299 for these gems. Good news is, it looks like we aren’t too far off from tapeless digital camcorders that can actually record high-quality video for more than half an hour or so.
