Pure Digital has announced an update to their cheap digital camcorder lineup that will allow users to upload their footage to Google Video and Sony’s Grouper video-sharing sites. Two versions, a 30-minute and a 60-minute version, will be available. These camcorders will feature software that will allow for one-click uploads to Google and Grouper when the camcorder is plugged into your computer’s USB port. They are easy to use, but do we really want our precious memories stored at this level of quality?

It looks like the two new camcorders will retain the same specifications as the previous generation. A couple reviews have been done on this camcorder already. Here’s the first review, and the second review. Not for those who want the quality their memories deserve, in my opinion.

Prices are set at $129 for the 30-minute version and $169 for the 60-minute version. You should be able to find them at Target, Costco, Long’s Drugs, and Best Buy very soon.
