Some important updates from the RED Digital Cinema team: first of all, they have been able to reclaim almost all of their stolen property. This includes the prototype, a lens, and a few computers. Still missing are computers that have development information on the RED One camcorder. Jim Jannard, founder of RED, writes:
We cannot comment further on the investigation since it is on-going. We strongly encourage you NOT to speculate as to the motives of the thieves or any connection with the industry.
On the lighter side of things, RED has also updated their website to include 1K samples from their Mysterium sensor. You’ll have to have a Bittorrent client installed to download the files.
