DV Guru has a brief synopsis of the HVR-DR60, Sony’s new tapeless recording unit made specifically for their HDV camcorders. Basically it will connect via Firewire and record HDV footage onto a built-in 60GB hard drive. It also uses the same batteries as the camcorders. The price is a bit high (in my opinion) at $1800, but you can get yours when they ship in November.

HVR-DR60 is quite good, but it is 60gb, ok but it allows only 4.5hrs for once, and delete. But the movie is great but it is very difficult to store such whooping size of 60gb for 4.5 hrs.
