The official release of the JVC GY-HD200U is upon us. JVC has packed 3 1/3″ CCDs and the all-important 24P into their latest Pro line camcorder. Also featured is 60P recording, which will allow for slow-motion recording. One important new feature is the ability to use the new HZ-CA13U lens adapter, which allows users to mount popular 16mm film lenses.

The JVC GY-HD200U also allows for interchangeable HD lenses using the standard 1/3″ bayonet lens mount. For audio, the JVC GY-HD200U features two XLR inputs. The 250,000 pixel LCD screen is an ample 3.5″ in size for getting that perfect focus.

For more information check out the product page linked below. The JVC GY-HD200U will sell with a Fujinon 16x lens for a suggested price of $8,995. Without a lens you are going to be set back $7,995 and will be buying the GY-HD200CHU (same thing, no lens). You can expect the HD200U to ship late this month, while the HZ-CA13U (priced at $4,395) will ship in December.
