CNet has their own Sony HDR-SR1 review posted. It’s the same outcome as usual with the new AVCHD camcorders: editing is not really an option, but the functionality is definitely there. The 30GB hard drive allows for a lot of footage to be recorded before having to save it onto your computer. The reviewer found the video quality good, but not as satisfactory as HDV tape-based solutions such as the Canon HV10.
