It’s rare that you come across “how we did it” articles that are thorough enough to leave you completely satisfied, but this was the case with Dan Brockett’s article entitled, “How To Shoot A Network TV Pilot With The Panasonic HVX-200.” The well-written post centers around using the HVX200 and the P2 recording system to produce a full-fledged pilot.
Not only is the entire workflow documented, but other tidbits of information from various aspects of the production make their way in. Audio, editing, and even stability rigs make an appearance. This is a must read for anyone who wants to know what a production can look like.
