Samsung has announced two new DVD camcorders for their lineup this year. The Samsung SC-DC173 will be their bottom-ender with a 1/6″, 680K CCD, and 2.7″ widescreen LCD. It will run around $370 and should be available in April. The Samsung SC-DC575, available in May for $450, upgrades you to a 1 megapixel CCD for recording stills to SD card. Zoom drops to 28x optical. Both camcorders now accept dual-layer DVD+R discs.
