Samsung has announced their first hybrid camcorder to add to their collection. The Samsung SC-DX10 will provide recording to either DVD or a 4GB flash drive. There is no word on whether or not users can dub the footage recorded on the flash drive straight to DVD, but if Hitachi’s hybrid camcorders can do it why not Samsung’s? Other than that all we know is that the SC-DX10 will sport a 1 megapixel CCD, 34x optical zoom, and 2.7″ widescreen LCD. It will be available in August for around $630.

I want to buy this camcorder. Samsung’s first hybrid camcorder DX10! The new models are based on Samsung’s “advanced” Flash Memory technology that claims benefit such as longer battery life and quick 3 sec start time. They also offer the new “iCheck” button providing info on remaining battery time and memory capacity.
