Usually I kind of zone out when reviewers get into the camcorder “tour” mode. “On your left, you’ll see the zoom button, a marvel of modern technology…”. Not so with Event DV’s look at the Canon XH A1. The author takes an exhaustive look at the XH A1 and its functions, but in such a way as to make it enlightening rather than monotonous.

From the battery door to 24p, each section contains a useful tidbit of information for both event videographers as well as anyone else who uses the Canon XH A1. The author also compares the XH A1 to other SD and HD camcorders, showing differences that are both good and bad. This is a clear and concise review of the XH A1 that anyone looking to buy it should read.
