Looking for just the right DVD camcorder? Check out CNET’s Canon DC220 review, which takes a look at one of Canon’s current direct-to-DVD camcorders. The Canon DC220 features some design upgrades from its predecessors, but still has some flaws. The digital image stabilization did its job, even on the amazingly long 35x optical zoom. The reviewer found that image quality was fine but lacked a degree of sharpness that made it more appealing to the eye. The Canon DC220 also had trouble in low light with focusing and capturing decent footage. CNET’s bottom line:

A simple DVD camcorder with decent performance and image quality, the DC220 won’t blow you away but neither will it let you down.
