Panasonic has announced the imminent availability of the new 16GB P2 card, and has also reported that the end-all of P2, the 32GB card, will be available before the year is out. Available in May, the 16GB P2 card will ship with a MSRP of $900. This is following the drastic price drop of Panasonic’s 8GB card, which was previously available for almost $200 more than the 16GB card.

Panasonic’s 32GB P2 card will be available by the end of the year for a suggested price of $1,800. Existing owners of Panasonic P2 products will need to download a free software update from Panasonic at www.panasonic.com/broadcast.
