Panasonic has introduced the latest in their line of P2 HD camcorders. The shoulder-mounted Panasonic AG-HPX500 builds on the foundation of the popular hand-held HVX200 but adds some useful features. We first saw the Panasonic AG-HPX500 back in February, but the official showing was just held at NAB. The HPX500 offers three 2/3″ CCDs, DVCPRO HD, 4:2:2 sampling, and interchangeable lenses, to name a few. Recordable formats include 1080i and 720p with a wide variety of frame rates. The Panasonic AG-HPX500 will list for $14,000 and will be available in May.
