CNET has posted their Sanyo Xacti VPC-HD2 review, which takes a look at what Sanyo calls “the smallest high-def camcorder on the market.” Overall the reviewer is pretty disappointed by the video quality, which is usable, but soft and bland. The camcorder was comfortable to hold, but suffers from an unstable joystick controlled menu system. The dock supports both HDMI and component outputs for connection to your HD display. Focus was also a problem on the Xacti VPC-HD2, taking a long time to lock especially in low-light. Not exactly the most shining review, but for only a little over $600 for an HD camcorder it might just be the way to go.
