To add to the last Hitachi DZ-HS300A review comes Digital Trends who, much like other reviewers, found that this hybrid camcorder is great in concept, but could have been better in function. Video quality was good in bright light, but not so great in dim light. Also, camera shake was pronounced at the high end of the optical zoom. On the other hand, the ability to record to hard drive and then dub directly to DVD was a huge plus, and may make this camcorder worth it for many.
