Looking for another JVC GZ-HD7 camcorder review? Digital Trends has just the thing, giving the latest and greatest Everio camcorder a 7 out of 10 rating. Wonder why? Read on.

The reviewer like the handling of the HD7 camcorder a lot, something we have seen in other reviews of this device. Though it is rather large, it feels good and sturdy in the hand. Besides a couple quirks, the camcorder controls were also placed logically.

Video quality was very good on the JVC GZ-HD7 camcorder, but when placed side-by-side to the Canon HV20, there was a noticeable difference, especially when shooting low-light situations. Once again, the OIS (optical image stabilization) did not perform as well as it should have.

The fact that there is no easy way (yet) to offload the HD7’s footage and share it with friends and family was also a factor in the lower score. This is not to say that this camcorder is horrible, it just has its share of pros and cons that you have to be OK with before you buy.
