If you are looking to use a tapeless camcorder with the Mac, you will first want to peruse an article over at Macworld entitled, “Tapeless camcorder and the Mac.” The author took a few tapeless camcorders, including HDD and DVD camcorders, and tried using them with Apple’s iMovie, the popular Mac editing software. Some camcorders worked, some didn’t, and there were caveats with all of them, so make sure you take a look.
