They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but the picture above is worth about a thousand input and output jacks. The newly announced MOTU V3HD features almost every single input and output you could possibly need for audio and video in one device.

The V3HD connects to your computer via Firewire 400 or 800 using the DVCPro HD codec and is compatible with both Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere. Other jacks include HD-SDI, SD-SDI, HDMI out, DVI out, component, composite, and S-video. So much to choose from, it’s like Christmas come early.

The MOTU V3HD is expected to ship in Q3 2007, and no word on pricing has been announced. If the V3HD seems somewhat similar to the AJA IO HD, you will want to take a look at HDForIndies’ comparison of the two.
