DV Magazine reviews the Redrock Micro M2 lens adapter, which is a device that allows you to mount 35mm lenses to your standard HD camcorder. Among other things, this gives you the much sought after shallow depth-of-field effect usually reserved for high-priced film cameras.

If you use the Redrock Micro M2 adapter, the reviewer cautions that you will add, “cost, complication, maintenance and setup time to a production,” but, “the artist in you will be grateful for taking the trouble. After this test experience, I’d be loathe to work without one.”
