Digital Trends has their Sony HDR-HC7 review available and write, “as for the video, I was very impressed. In fact, I liked it a shade better than the HV20-just a shade, mind you.” The reviewer found that the Sony HDR-HC7 was a great camcorder except for the fact that it records to tape, rather than to one of the growing variety of tapeless camcorders. If you are OK with tape you will be more than happy when you watch your precious footage on screen.
