EXCLUSIVE: Adobe Premiere Elements 4 Review

Quick rundown:

Pros: Simple and easy to use, but with the flexibility to create more complex videos.

Cons: No AVCHD support, yet.

Adobe Premiere Elements 4

Adobe makes it easy to create quick, appealing home movies with the latest installment of Adobe Premiere Elements. A slick interface, better integration with Photoshop Elements, and better support for Flash-based sites like YouTube make Adobe Premiere Elements 4 a great choice for video projects, but the current lack of AVCHD support makes it a product I cannot fully endorse for anyone wanting to edit non-HDV video.

Canon HV20 Review
Canon HV20 Review

As HD camcorders go, you won’t find a device much more capable or smartly put together than the Canon HV20. With ease-of-use for the new parents and ample manual controls for the prosumer, the HV20 caters to a wide crowd. It has its caveats, but they are few and far between, making the Canon HV20 a winner of a camcorder.

JVC GZ-MG555 Review
JVC GZ-MG555 Review

The JVC GZ-MG555 is the top standard definition Everio model this year. It features some great manual controls for the control freak, a 30GB hard drive, and a huge 1/2.5″ CCD. JVC was the first to market with HDD camcorders, but can the GZ-MG555 hold its own?

Sony HDR-CX7 Review
Sony HDR-CX7 Review

Tapeless camcorders have become a hot ticket item and Sony is never far behind the trends. The HDR-CX7 nearly oozes with ease-of-use, with few buttons or input/output jacks in sight. Sony’s first Memory Stick camcorder is definitely a looker, but will it deliver?
