Their is a new Sony HVR-V1U camcorder review over at DMN in which the author shares some real-world experiences with the camcorder. The author really liked the CMOS sensors, which took care of a lot of halo or star effects around bright lights. Although the low-light rating is a bit higher than on previous Sony HD camcorder models, the reviewer had clean images even with the gain turned up.
