It seems the Sony HDR-CX7 made a good impression on the reviewers over at CNET. Their Sony HDR-CX7 review takes a look at Sony’s first memory card camcorder and gives it a very high 8 out of 10 rating. Video quality was “excellent,” and, for such a small camcorder, the CX7’s image stabilization seemed to do the job quite nicely.

Some of the few cited disadvantages of the Sony HDR-CX7 are the touch-screen menu interface, the fact that it lacks a viewfinder, and the fact that you must use the included dock to connect it to the computer.

That aside, the review puts the Sony HDR-CX7 in pretty good light. Looks like this might be a camcorder to take a good look at.
