JVC’s HD Everio camcorders are definitely a couple of the nicest looking camcorders around. They have the look going for them, but it would seem the rest of the camcorder has not caught up with the style. The same holds true in CCInfo’s JVC GZ-HD3 review, which finds that the latest HD Everio camcorder is closer to hitting the mark, but still falls short in some areas.
Video quality on the JVC GZ-HD3 was similar to that of its older sibling. However, losing the Fujinon lens made for less effective pixels, an image slightly less sharp, and a poorer performance in low-light.
The JVC GZ-HD3 is a hard camcorder to make a great argument for. If style is your bag you can’t go wrong, but if quality and/or price is your game, you may need to look elsewhere.
